The name of this model recalls the heritage of Indiana Line: the first projects bearing the brand's signature, belonging to the Utah series, date back to the 70s. The Utah 5 cabinet is made of MDF covered with PVC veneer and is available in two color variants: black oak or light oak, both with a matte black front. Optimized for floor placement Utah 5 is designed to perform best when placed directly on the floor. The cabinet features a slightly sloping rear edge that ensures ideal alignment with the listener and the room, without the need for additional feet. This configuration reduces floor reflections, improving clarity and depth of sound. For added versatility, the included optional rear feet allow for installation on low shelves or consoles, where tilt is not necessary. Powerful bass The Utah 5 speakers evoke the past, while representing a modern approach to sound processing. They combine classic design with advanced technical solutions, offering a powerful, energetic and dynamic sound. Low frequencies are handled by a large 10-inch woofer (270 mm basket) with an efficient magnetic system, optimised for the cabinet. The polypropylene membrane ensures high rigidity and effective damping of resonances, for a warm, deep and precise bass. Double bass reflex The vented cabinet houses two reflex ports in the base – the so-called Twin Port. This configuration improves efficiency and quality in low-frequency reproduction. The ports operate without audible compression or air turbulence, even with deep bass at high volumes. The height of the Utah 5's feet has been designed to ensure proper airflow to the reflex ports, while their proximity to the floor naturally strengthens the impact of low frequencies. Natural midrange Midrange reproduction is handled by a 5-inch driver with a polypropylene diaphragm and 150 mm basket, installed in a separate, well-damped chamber. This ensures clarity and precision, delivering vocals and instruments with exceptional musicality. The wide front is a nod to classic speakers, delivering a full, rich sound that many enthusiasts prefer over the timbre of thinner, modern speakers. Advanced tweeter and crossover High frequencies are handled by a newly developed 26mm fabric dome tweeter, featuring an updated neodymium magnet system and a wide 104mm front bezel. The crossover adopts the same topology used in Indiana Line's flagship 3-way models, such as the Diva 6 and Tesi 6, ensuring a harmonious and balanced sound.
